Stephen J. Blasina, BSc (University of New South Wales), MBA (Australian Graduate School of Management) is Senior Vice President of Federal Insurance Company which is a holding company of The Chubb Group.
Presently based in Singapore, Mr. Blasina is currently responsible for overseeing Chubb’s field operations throughout the South Asian Region.
Mr. Blasina has been an active member of the Asian Corporate Governance
Association since 2001 and participates in many forums and speaking engagements organized for the industry.
He joined the Australian operation of the Chubb Group of Companies in 1993 as its Specialty Regional Manager and progressed to the Asia Pacific Regional role in 2000 overseeing Executive Risk and Financial Lines based in Singapore. In this role he was responsible for 12 branches in the Asia Pacific Region for Specialty insurance products.
He then moved to London in 2005, and was responsible for 25 offices in 11 countries in the European region that offers financial liability products through Chubb’s Executive Risk Department and the Department of Financial Institutions. In 2007 he moved back to Australia and was responsible for Strategic Marketing within the Asia Pacific Region.
Prior to making a career in insurance, Mr. Blasina was an Investment Banker with Citibank of New York, USA.

Mr. Chan Hwee Seng has 38 years experience as a Loss Adjuster with Crawford with 18 years as Managing Director. He is currently the Chairman.
Mr. Chan specializes in the handling of property and liability losses and dealt with major losses such as the Robinson Departmental Store fire in 1972, the cable car accident in 1983 and the Prima Food poisoning case in 2007. He also investigated several high profile cases of insurance fraud in the region and was instrumental in exposing fraud in the infamous case of ‘death in Cambodia’ in 2000 and the S$6 million case of arson in a departmental store in Singapore in 1998. He had delivered several papers and talks on Claims Management in Singapore and in the region.
He is the current Vice President of the Singapore Insurance Institute and past president of the Insurance Law Association, Singapore.

Jonathan Chan is a Senior Underwriter for Chubb’s Specialty Insurance (CSI), a department within Federal Insurance Company, Singapore.
The department is responsible for all Specialty financial and liability insurance products for South East Asia, such as Directors & Officers Liability Insurance, Non Profit Organization Management Liability, Professional Liability, Commercial Crime, Kidnap & Ransom and Bankers Blanket Bond for financial Institutions.
He is also responsible for the underwriting of the Singapore portfolio of CSI’s Executive protection business. He has contributed articles on D&O and has conducted various seminars on Specialty insurance. He is also presently a lecturer with the Singapore College of Insurance on liability courses.
He began his insurance career in 2004, as an Underwriter of Financial institutions, covering all lines of General Insurance, including their Property and Casualty Insurance needs.

Nick has been an insurance broker for 20 years. He recently relocated to Singapore where he is Chief Operating Officer for the Singapore business and Lockton’s Asia operations overall.
Until his move to Singapore, Nick was COO for Lockton’s retail insurance operations in London, Southern England, Ireland and the Channel Islands.
Nick has comprehensive experience of the general insurance business and has advised clients in a wide variety of industries, including FMCG, logistics, engineering, TMT, power generation, public sector and not for profit organisations.
Nick started his insurance career as a graduate trainee with Willis in 1989. In 1995 he joined Marsh where he spent a varied 10 years and became the youngest office head in the UK business. He joined Alexander Forbes (later acquired by Lockton) in 2005 to run the UK retail businesses in Southern England and the Channel Islands.
Nick is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and an Economics graduate from the University of Hull.
Nick has also participated in the Marsh Accelerated Leadership Programme (ALP) and is a postgraduate for Certificate in Business Education from University of the West England.

Said Khan is the Cargo Underwriter at Amlin Singapore Pte Ltd, underwriting on behalf of Syndicate 2001 at Lloyd’s of London. The syndicate is a market leader in a wide range of insurance and reinsurance classes – aviation, international property and casualty and marine.
Said joined Amlin in October 2008 after having spent two years with another Lloyd’s Syndicate. Prior to that he was with AIG for 8 years – 4 years as a Cargo Underwriter and 4 years as the Marine Loss Control Officer for Asia Pac.
Prior to AIG, Said was a surveyor and loss adjustor for 10 years and before that he sailed for 5 years on foreign-going vessels serving mainly on board containers and tankers.

Koh Hoe Shin joined American Home Assurance Group (AIG) as the Head of Personal Lines Department, handling a portfolio of $180 million and is in charge of 21 staffs within the department. He is responsible for both the top and bottom line for the Personal Lines business e.g. Auto, Personal property and Extended Warranty.
He first started as a Trainer in AIA in 1997 after his graduation in National University of Singapore (NUS). In AIA, he is the head of training team and was responsible to groom and build a team of trainers, executing on the development of Sales Management Program for Agency Leaders and Sales Oriented program for Agent.
His expertise includes all personal lines products and restructure and rebuild administrative processes and assist the administrative team to improve work efficiency. He is also attached to AIA Brunei to assist the local GM in training his agency executives in agency sales and recruitment activities. Hoe Shin is also a committee member for Product Development and assisted the Local GM in launching new products for the agency force. He achieved the best superintendent award from VP Agency during the year 2002.
During his years in Asia, Hoe Shin travelled widely within AIG group and was promoted to Vice President for AIG Philippines. He identified and developed homeowner product for agency force that sold more than 1800 cases within 5 months of launch.

Kenrick Law joined the reinsurance industry in 1996 with Swiss Re Zurich. After received extensive training on various reinsurance products in both Switzerland and South Africa, he returned to Hong Kong in 1998 as a casualty treaty underwriter. In 2000, he was promoted to be responsible for the casualty treaty business for the Greater China Region. He then relocated to Singapore in 2003 to manage the Casualty Treaty portfolio of South East Asia. In July 2006, he returned to Hong Kong to head up the Casualty Treaty Underwriting Desk for Asia for Swiss Re.
Since March 2007, Kenrick heads the Casualty Underwriting in Asia Capital Reinsurance Group.
His expertise includes Motor, Personal Accident, Workmen's Compensation and General Liability. Kenrick participated in a Motor conference in Japan in 2003 where motor experts from different countries across Asia exchanged opinions on Motor insurance.
During his years in Asia, Kenrick has represented Swiss Re and the reinsurance industry in various insurance associations, e.g. the Convenor of the Liability Subcommittee of Reinsurers' Forum in Hong Kong, and member of Motor committee in Malaysia.
Kenrick holds a Master Degree in Economics from University of Toronto (Canada) as well as Bachelor's Degree in Economics from McGill University (Canada).

Primus graduated in accounting and was a public accountant with one of the big five international accounting firms in Canada. Following his return to Singapore in 1990, he joined the then Insurance Corporation of Singapore and was involved in negotiation and settlement of major claims for property, casualty and financial risks insurances, including management of complex Professional Indemnity claims.
In 1992, Primus joined American Home Assurance Company (otherwise known as AIG). His exposure included claims, underwriting and marketing. He also headed the Financial Lines Division that focused on development and underwriting of Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers' Liability, Banker's Blanket Bond and Crime insurances.
Primus joined Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) in 1997 and currently heads up Business Development, Financial & Professional Risk and Benefits Solution. Ben Liang is the ReMetrics team leader for Benfield Asia. Ben has over eight years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry with majority of that focused on reinsurance. His experience in the reinsurance sector includes analyses of workers' compensation, property per risk & cat, medical malpractice, professional liability, general liability, and commercial auto risks. Ben is also active as a technical broker assisting clients and colleagues with complex transactions.

Mr Colin Lincoln is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurer. He is currently the Regional Underwriter Marine Liabilities - Asia with QBE Insurance (International) Limited. He has been in the insurance industry for more than 30 years most of which was spent in Marine Insurance. His area of expertise is mainly in Marine Cargo although he is currently involved in Marine Liability Insurance as well. His regional responsibilities spans across South East Asia where he oversees the Company’s marine operations in this region. He has been a speaker in seminars organised by the Association of Banks in Singapore and has conducted marine insurance courses both locally and overseas. Mr. Douglas Lum holds a degree in Actuarial Science and he brings with him over 15 years of experience from the North American and Asian markets in both the direct insurance and reinsurance industry. He originally worked in actuarial positions dealing with valuation, product development and pricing, and subsequently held various lead positions in accident and health and special risks reinsurance before uprooting from Toronto, Canada and settling in Singapore in 1998 with another international reinsurer. Douglas joined Allianz Reinsurance in the latter part of 2002 as the head of business development within the Life and Health division, and has recently taken on the role as General Manager of the Life and Health operation.

Emily Poh is currently the Deputy Regional Manager of Financial Lines in AIU Southeast Asia. She is responsible for the Financial Institutions Practice and Crime insurance for the region. The primary focus is to provide risk solutions to Financial Institutions including but not limited to stockbrokers and fund managers.
Starting her career with AIG Australia back in 2005, she started as an underwriter writing all lines of business within the Financial Lines department and in 2006, moved to Singapore as a senior underwriter. Prior to joining the Regional team she was heading the Singapore Financial Institutions Practice.

Aruno Rajaratnam is currently the Managing Director of FINEX, Asia for Willis Insurance Brokers. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Singapore Bar in 1975. She is also a Chartered Insurance Practitioner conferred by the Chartered Insurance Institute of United Kingdom in 1984.
She has extensive industry experience having worked as a claims manager, underwriter, loss adjuster, product development consultant, broker and managing director of a reinsurance company. She has written several articles for the newspapers and trade magazines, co-authored the textbook for the Certificate of General Insurance and contributed towards the book "From Conformance to Performance - Best Corporate Governance for Asian Companies" by Mak Yuen Teen.

Ronak has been with Willis in Asia since the beginning of 2006 and is responsible for the development, marketing and placement of all FINEX related products in Asia, namely Directors & Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity, Commercial Crime, Multimedia Liability, Cyber Risk Liability, Medical Malpractice Liability and Clinical Trials. Prior to joining AHA, he was a Claims Manager under the General Insurance profile in NTUC Income Cooperative Insurance Limited from 1993 - 2001. During his earlier years, he has also worked in Neptune Orient Lines Ltd as a Shipping Executive (1991 - 1993) and a Police Officer - Assistant Superintendent of Police from 1988 - 1991.
Sam holds a Degree in Business Administration with National University of Singapore (NUS) as well as a fellow with Life Management Institute (LOMA) with Distinction. Andrew Vigar has been the Regional Manager Asia of XL Insurance since January 2007. Prior to his appointment as the head of the Asia Region, he was responsible for Sales Marketing and Communications for XL Insurance in Continental Europe and Asia based in Zurich.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Liverpool University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Policy from the Open University, both in the United Kingdom. He started his career as a Willis Insurance Brokers in 1987.
He has worked in a number of countries in Continental Europe as well as in Hong Kong where he was Managing Director of Willis between 1998 and 2000.
Andrew joined XL in December 2000 where he has been responsible for business development in Continental Europe based in Vienna. He moved to Zurich in 2004 and to Singapore in July 2007, establishing a representative office in August 2007 and a branch of XL Insurance in January 2008.
Andrew sits in the Management Committee in the General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA) and is also the convenor for the External Relations and Communications Committee (ERCC) in GIA.

Simon Wilson was appointed Lloyd's General Manager for Singapore in January 2007. He is also Managing Director of Lloyd's Asia (Pte) Ltd. and General Representative of Lloyd's underwriters in Singapore.
Before his appointment, Simon spent three years developing and leading the Intelligence Division (WMID) for Lloyd's Worldwide Markets in London. Simon was also heavily involved in the development of the business model and plan for the new Lloyd's China Reinsurance platform, based in Shanghai.
Prior to joining Lloyd's, Simon worked as a management consultant within the Specialist Financial Services area of Deloitte Consulting. During this time he worked with clients from across the sector on numerous projects involving the development and implementation of their international strategy and the development of future state operating models. Simon holds a Bachelors degree in Law and a Masters degree in Management.

Yong Wai Sing is presently working as the Learning and Development Manager in the Human Resources Department in American Home Assurance Company.
He works in partnership with departments to deliver in-house soft skills training workshops as well as facilitates external training. He also manages and provides developmental opportunities for the talent within the company as part of his work.
Graduated from the University of Adelaide, he has lived, studied and worked in Australia for 11 years. His work experience includes the airlines industry, the banking sector and education; and he shares a lot of his experiences in all his workshops.
